Return Policy – Capital Metal Works

At Capital Metal Works, we manufacture precision automotive components and custom-fabricated parts. Due to the specialized nature of our products, all returns are subject to the strict conditions outlined below.

Custom & Made-to-Order Products

Capital Metal Works does not accept returns, refunds, exchanges, or cancellations for any custom-made or made-to-order items.
These products are built specifically per order and are considered final sale without exception.

Return Eligibility

Only standard, non-custom products may be eligible for return, and only under the following conditions:

  • The return request is submitted within 30 days of delivery.
  • The item is unused, uninstalled, and in original condition.
  • All original packaging, hardware, and components are included.
  • The item has not been modified, welded, altered, or test-fitted.
  • The order was shipped within the United States.

Any product that has been installed — in whole or in part — is not eligible for return or refund.

Capital Metal Works reserves the right to reject any return that does not meet these conditions.

International Orders

All international orders are final sale.
Capital Metal Works does not accept returns for any internationally shipped items, regardless of condition or reason.

Refunds

Refunds are issued only for approved returns that meet all eligibility requirements.

  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days after inspection.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Capital Metal Works does not offer exchanges or store credit.

If the returned item fails inspection, the refund will be denied and the customer will be responsible for the cost of return shipping back to them.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Capital Metal Works will cover the cost of return shipping only if the customer did not receive free shipping on the original order.
  • If the order qualified for free shipping, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Unauthorized returns or shipments sent without approval will be refused.

Restocking Fees

  • Capital Metal Works branded products: No restocking fee.
  • Third-party vendor products: Subject to a 20% restocking fee, automatically deducted from the refund total.

Restocking fees apply regardless of the reason for return.

Damaged, Incorrect, or Defective Items

If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery.
The following photos are required for all claims:

  1. The item
  2. The packaging
  3. The shipping label

Failure to provide required documentation within 7 days may result in denial of the claim.

Capital Metal Works will determine whether the appropriate resolution is a replacement, repair, or refund.
